Compound path entwined

- [Instructor] In the previous movie I showed how we can use a clipping mouse to combine the artwork with the type. In this movie, same artwork, same type, but I'm going to use a compound path instead for a different effect. Working with a clipping mask, I needed to put the type above the artwork. In this case that's not necessary, but what is necessary is that I, first of all, outlined the text. So I'll now select text and artwork and come to my object panel and then choose, make compound path. And the difference here is that everything will be in a single color, but where the artwork overlaps the type, it will become negative and where it's outside of the type, it will be positive.
