Converting text to path outlines

- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to add the text on the badge right here, as well as these bars above and below the word sheriff. And that's going to require some additional path building. So I'll go and switch over to my illustration so far. And I'm going to turn off the inset and main star layers and turn the shapes layer on, so I can draw the rectangles that will ultimately turn into the bars. And so I'll go and select the rectangle tool from the shape tool flyout menu. And then I need to make sure that the shape layer is active in order to draw on it. And I'll go ahead and position my cursor at the intersection of those two center guides, and I'll press the Alt key or the Option key on the Mac and click, in order to bring up the rectangle dialog box. And these are the values I'm looking for, a width of 340 points and a height of 170 points. And after which point, I'll go ahead and click OK. And now I'm going to Alt…
