Create duotone effects
- [Instructor] Another cool thing that you can do with Phantasm is to create duotone effects. And there are a couple different approaches you can take. You can simply create something that looks like a duotone but is actually an RGB, or a CMYK file that will output using all those process colors, or you can create a true duotone which will only output on printing plates for the specific inks that you choose. So let's see how that works. Here on our exercise file, we have this nice image of a forest of trees and some text. We can experiment with adding duotone effects by Selecting All, and then choosing Effect, Phantasm, Duotone. This opens up the dialog box where you can set up the effect. And we have a curve here that you can manipulate to make colors lighter or darker in certain areas of the image. In the middle area, you can choose the colors for the effect. And there are a few extra options at the bottom.…
