- [Instructor] There are many different blending modes you can combine with textures in Texturino to make different graphic effects, but in this movie, we're going to look at one in particular that allows you to use the details of a texture to set the transparency of an object. In our file, we have a background image of some trees and some live text above that. And what I'd like to do is to give the text a weathered look, breaking up the letter shapes a bit to reveal the photo in some places. First I'll select the text and choose a texture like fine speckles. I'll apply it, and reduce the scale down to 20% to give me a higher resolution and more details. Now the default blending mode for this texture is multiply, and we can already see that white areas have no effect on our type, and the black areas remain black, but if we change the mode from multiply to knockout, something different happens.
