- To get started, click on create New, and the new document window will come up. Setting to art and illustration on the left side of your window, you will see a series of blank document presets up here. Select the postcard preset to quickly apply the width, and height to your document. The size will display in millimeters, but you can click on the down pointed arrow to change it into a different unit of measurement, like pixels or inches. You can also use a custom size if you like. By clicking on these two little icons you can change the document orientation between portrait or landscape. I will leave it set to portrait. You can also set the amount of art boards that you will like in your document by changing the number in the art boards field, I'm okay with one.
