- [Narrator] In this movie, we'll go over These copies are what we call symbol instances. And, the other tools here are for adjusting the appearance of symbol instances. adjusting the appearance of symbol instances. In our file, we have this bubble artwork that we've used in other movies, and it's made up of a few simple paths that are grouped together. And, to make it a symbol, I'll take the selection tool, and click to select it, and then go to the symbol's panel, and click the button for a new symbol. I'll call it my bubble, and for the symbol type, I'm going to choose dynamic. This allows you to modify each instance of the symbol, but still maintain the link to the master symbol. And, you'll see what I mean as I go. I'll click okay, and the little plus sign here, indicates we have a dynamic symbol, and you can also tell from our plus sign that the original bubble is now an instance of the symbol.
