Creating color swatches

- [Narrator] In this first project, we'll transform this space objects into this piece of artwork, using nothing more than fills and strokes. In this first movie, I'll show you how to create and use swatches, including global swatches to save colors for later use. All right, I'm going to start off by selecting this yellow car shape, using my blank arrow tool and then I'll click on the fill swatch here inside the Properties panel. Now I do not like my swatches to be this small. I think it gives you a poor idea of what the colors look like. And so to increase their size, go ahead and click on this fly out menu icon in the top right corner of this popup panel and choose Medium Thumbnail View. Then you can go ahead and scale this panel by dragging its bottom right corner like so until you can see all of these gray values in a row. All right, now the thing I want you to notice is that none of the swatches is highlighted.…
