Creating corner points

- [Instructor] All right. I'm going to start things off by showing you how to create corner points using the pen tool. And so as usual, I'm going to go up to the file menu and choose new from template, or you have that keyboard shortcut of control + shift + N, or command + shift + N on the Mac. So I'll go ahead and choose that command and double-click on the center guides document. And then I'm going to set the fill, up here in the control panel, to none. And then I'll take the line weight up to, let's say, six points. All right, next I'll select the pen tool, which has a very easy-to-remember keyboard shortcut of P for 'pen.' And notice I now have a pen cursor with an asterisk, which shows me that I'm about to create a new path outline. Now, even though this cursor looks a lot like the curvature tool, all it's missing after all is that wiggly line, the pen tool does not work at all like the curvature tool. In fact, in…
