(mechanical whirring) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. New tools and features are constantly being added to creative software we all use every day. Sometimes they are very useful and sometimes you wonder, what were they thinking? The new freeform gradient feature in Illustrator falls in between these two extremes. So, in this movie, I want to document the limitations of this feature and a work around to resolve it, so let's get started. Now, the design I chose to do for this and actually I'll admit, I intended to do this right at the time when this feature came out. This feature is a little over a year old now and I've waited this long because I was waiting to see if they fixed it or they improved it and they haven't.
