Creating a gloss
- [Instructor] Following on from the discussion of gradients, a gloss effect is a way to freshen up a logo and add dimension. I'm going to start with my red circle, and I'll be copying this numerous times. So first of all, command or control + C to copy, and then command or control + B to paste that copy in back. I'll scale up the copy from its center point, option or alt, and the shift key. And then I'm going to apply a gradient to that. Come to the swatches panel, I have it on my swatches panel already, it's called chrome. This comes from the gradients group, metals. Now with that second circle selected, I'll copy it once again, command or control + C and paste it in back once again, and then scale up that copy that is at the back. I now need to come to my gradients panel, which is not apparently open, so let me just open that from the window menu and change the direction of the gradient in the back-most circle. Let's…
