Creating graphic pattern brushes

(logo whooshing) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. Before I jump into this, I want to thank my friend Mark Heaps, who shared how he used pattern brushes to create some video backgrounds for his client and gave me permission to show you how he did it. So, Mark, thank you for letting me do this. The brilliance of this is how simple it is. And so the first thing I want to show you is how simple it is to create the type of graphic brush we're going to create. Here we have three squares. They're just stacked right on top of one another, but it's really cool and really easy to create a pattern brush. So let's go ahead and just select these, we're going to drag them to the Brushes palette, and we're going to select Pattern, click OK. This will bring up, and you can see how it's creating this kind of image of a snake of sorts down here. Now, by default, Illustrator will try to create a corner…
