(engine shifting) - [Narrator] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. In the early 1990's, I was working at a small design firm here in Oregon, and a local fire department asked us to design a 75th anniversary T shirt for their crew, and they also wanted to get it embroidered on jackets. The challenge with this project was that they gave us the historic photos showing a horse drawn fire engine from the original fire station and they wanted that as part of the design. Basically, they wanted that to be able to print on T shirts and do embroidery, and we were going, "How are we going to pull this off? How are we going to do this?" We didn't have the budget to illustrate anything and we're just kind of racking our brains, and mind you this was the early 1990's, meaning Photoshop was in it's infancy still. It might have been Photoshop two, maybe Photoshop three, but layers hadn't even been around that…
