Creating an isometric building illustration: Part 1

- In this first example of Isometric Illustration, I'm going to show you how I created two building illustrations in isometric projection. Let me show you the various stages I worked through to construct these isometric illustrations. A lot of the examples I'm showing you in this course are distinctly illustrative, meaning they have a lot of detailing to them involving highlight shadows and other aspects to pull off the illusion of dimension and to make the overall illustration more engaging. Now, you don't always have to utilize isometric projection in that fashion. It can be as simple as taking a 2D map in this case, as you see here, a street map, and you have buildings that are aligned along the various routes on this map and we've colored the buildings that we want to kind of draw attention to in red.
