Creating a metaphoric design

- Welcome to DRAWING VECTOR GRAPHICS LABORATORY. I love to read a good book. But one genre I haven't read a whole lot of is William Shakespeare. It just kind of doesn't pique my interest and seems a bit too pretentious at times as well. But that said, one of the stories of his I have read is Romeo and Juliet. It's a sad and tragic love story that doesn't have a happy ever after ending, because frankly, the two main characters die. So there's that. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to create a design using visual metaphors to represent various aspects of the story. Now, this is a discipline specifically geared for such projects as an editorial illustration, where a publication may approach you and ask you to illustrate imagery that goes with that story and you have to read the story and take in the information then kind of glean from it in a metaphoric way of visual to put together.
