- [Instructor] Now just before we continue, it's probably a good idea for you to save this file. And I just did with mine, because it's like muscle memory. I just did it automatically. You can do it by going to file, save, or command S or control S, and you'll get a dialogue like so. You can then choose where that's going to go. Now I saved mine already, so I'm actually just going to click through this and replace the file that I had. You won't get that particular part. You'll then get this Illustrator options. It will always go with the most recent version available to it. So the version you're actually working in, okay, or the nearest one to that, and you can click through that and hit okay. Now we're ready to carry on. If we go to the layers panel again, what we're going to do is add a new layer using the icon at the bottom of the panel.
