(techno music) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. In this movie I want to go over a specific style of vector artwork and a specific method for building your vector shapes. It's easy and extremely versatile for a wide range of project types, so let's get started. On this specific theme this specific project, I'm going to be working on a logo design for a small family owned restaurant based out of Texas. And this is where I started. This is my rough sketch. I'm not worried about being super precise with my shapes here. I'm just kind of giving me a rough guide to build from inside Illustrator via this sketch. So I'm going to scan this in and place it in Illustrator like this and I will set this layer to 20% to act as a guide and I'm going to build upon it. Now, I've said this in previous movies and I'll say it again, when I use guides, I tend to manage 'em on their own layer as much as possible.
