(dramatic music) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. In this movie, we're going to continue our look at another brush format in Illustrator called a scatter brush. But this is a different way of using it. It's more about creating a graphic asset we can use on a project. Now, the way I kind of stumbled upon this and worked through this was my daughter is creating a set of brushes on her own and she wasn't used to creating a brush in Illustrator. So she's saying, well, can you gaussian blur it and then create a brush? Well, no, you can't have effects in vector brushes. You can apply it afterwards, after you create a brush, but you can't have effects like that. And we were running into limitations. She wanted to get a certain look and feel. And so I just started experimenting and discovered this and said to her, I go, well, you might be able to use this for your thing, but I know I could use this…
