Creating a rectangle by the numbers

- [Instructor] All right, now we need to create the white stripe once again using the rectangle tool. You may recall that each one of these stripes needs to be exactly the same height. So this white rectangle needs to take up a third of the height of the artboard. And so just by way of reminder, I'll go to the file menu and choose the new command. So notice the width of our document is 1,008 points, the height is 672 and then we have 12 point bleed values all the way around. So in other words, there's a 12 point bleed on the left and right hand sides. Why is that so important? Well, because we're going to be creating this rectangle by the numbers. And so I'll close out of the new dialog box and switch over to the artwork in progress and then I'll go ahead and select my rectangle tool either from the vertical toolbox or if you prefer, you can use your little shapes tool panel.
