Creating roughen graphics

(dramatic music) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. When most people think about vector-based graphics, they think of hard edges and straight, perfect curves and sharp points, and for the most part, that's relatively true. But there are ways to roughen up the line work and create a more organic flair, and that's what we're going to cover in this movie. Now, recently I was on a conference call, and I had done this sketch. And whenever I do a little doodle or sketch like this, I put it in my DVG Lab folder and consider it for a future project if it can demonstrate something that I think is teachable. And in this case, it is, so we're going to use this as our theme moving forward. And it all starts with cleaning it up. So I had to draw it in a symmetric form and draw it more precise so I can use it as a road map to build my vectors. This is what I took, scanned in to Photoshop, reflected it so…
