Creating snapping guidelines

- [Instructor] We're going to kick off this chapter by creating this very basic tree, which includes an ellipse up here at the top, this circle, and then a handful of straight lines. But before we start, we need to lay down a few guidelines just so that you and I get roughly the same results. And to see those guides, make sure the selection tool is active up here at the top of the toolbox, and then go up to the Select menu and choose a Deselect command so that no object is selected here inside the artwork. And that way, you'll see the document wide options here inside the Properties panel, at which point drop down to these guides, icons right here and click on this one, the one that reads click to show guides and that will make the guides appear in cyan. Now, a couple of things about guidelines. First of all, even though they're part of the document, they are not part of the final artwork. So for example, they do not print.…
