(dramatic musi) - [Instructor] Welcome to Drawing Vector Graphics Laboratory. I work in a variety of different styles when it comes to illustrating projects and most of the projects I work on for clients are kind of dictated, by their requests for a specific style. But when I get free reign to choose a style, I enjoy working what I call a segmented style. I don't do a whole lot of client work in this style, but it's still one that I really like creating in. It's a convergence of shapes that form a unified whole through contour continuation. Now this is of course best showing then explain, so let's jump into it. It all starts with reference. My theme is going to be a Wolf, so it doesn't matter what style I'm working in, whether it's this segmented style or a cartoonish style or even an icon. Maybe it's a one color, flat based iconic image of a Wolf. Referencing the real world is going to help regardless of styles.…
