Customize ExpressKeys for specific software

- [Instructor] So let's take a look at how to customize ExpressKeys for working with any specific software, and let's use a great Photoshop tip. (bright synthesized chord) So as a default, Wacom doesn't have any specific softwares listed under Application, you'll just see all, but you can add any number of specific softwares to your ExpressKeys, will work just when that software is on. Let's go over an example and add Photoshop and just change our ExpressKeys so they work differently just within Photoshop. I'm gonna go over here to plus and I'm gonna add Photoshop. Now if you don't see your program listed, make sure that it's open and running. I do have Photoshop running in the background. If you don't see it, you can always come down here and click Browse and go to your executable file and select it. For right now, I can just select what shows up. Here is Photoshop, click OK, and Photoshop shows up. Now I can change any of these options to work only when Photoshop is running. So I'm gonna change my Radial Menu button here, this second ExpressKey down. And I'm gonna show you a keyboard shortcut, the Keystroke here, that's really great. So right now, when you use the undo ExpressKey, it only goes back one step. Well I don't know about you, but in Photoshop I need to go multiple steps. So let's make a very specific one. So if you do Control + Alt + Z, or Command + Option + Z on a Mac, that is multiple undo. I'm gonna call this Multiple Undo, clicked OK. In here we see the second button down is now set to Multiple Undo for only Photoshop. If I go to All, it's still set for Radial Menu. So let's see how this works. So right now I'm not in Photoshop. I'm gonna hit the second button down. There's my Radial Menu, let's pull up Photoshop. So now I'm in Photoshop and let's just draw a number of lines that I'm not gonna want. That doesn't make my art look any better. I'm gonna hit the ExpressKey, my Radial Menu doesn't show up but those lines all disappear one at a time. So now you can set up any number of your ExpressKeys or Touch Strips to work specifically the way you want for any software that you want, without losing any of your defaults.
