Draw freehand with the Pencil tool
- [Narrator] Now, let's create one more shape by drawing it freehand. The last thing that we're left to draw are some sandy dunes. Before doing so, let's change the drawing mode. Like we did in the previous video, let's set at the bottom of the toolbar, then select draw normal, select the pencil tool from the toolbar, or press the N key on your keyboard to quickly access it. The pencil tool is a great tool for creating free form shapes and lines in Adobe Illustrator. With the pencil tool selected, click and drag to start drawing. I will create some curves to draw my dunes. Don't forget to head back to the beginning of your path to close it, and create a shape. As you head over towards the first anchor point, you will see a little circle appearing next to the cursor, that will tell you that you're about to close your path.
