Draw shapes with the Rectangle tool

- [Instructor] It's now time to use another shape to delimit the sky and the sea areas. To do so, we will use the rectangle tool. But first, click and hold this more circle and square icons located at the bottom of the tuber to access the drawing modes. Then from here, select draw behind to make sure that those shapes will land behind the tree and the sun. When done, click and hold on the ellipse icon until the rectangle tool will appear. You can also access the rectangle shape tool by pressing the letter M on your keyboard. Now, intersect your cursor with one of the corners of the art board and click and drag to create a shape that will be placed behind. This will be our sky. Then let's create one more for the sea. And we're almost done. If your shapes are filled in black like mine, your artwork will be barely visible. But don't worry. Let's switch to outline mode by using the shortcut control Y on Windows, that's command Y on a Mac, you will now be able to see and select any shape located inside your document. From here, select the two rectangles using the selection tool and holding shift. Then, choose the view menu on the top, and select preview to swap back to preview mode. You can also use the shortcut control command Y again at any time to swap between views. Now, head to the fill and stroke icon at the bottom of the toolbar, and click on the double pointed arrow to swap the color between a fill and a stroke. Just like so. But let's move to the next step to finish up our drawing.
