- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to move from geometric shapes to freehand drawing tools, namely the pencil tool and the blob brush, both of which allow you to draw super smooth path outlines and along the way, we're going to trace this eye of Horus. So I've set this guy up as a template, just so you can trace it along with me and now what I want you to do is click and hold on the Paintbrush tool and choose the Pencil tool from this Flyout menu. Another option, by the way is to release on this vertical edge right here and that will give you a free-floating miniature toolbox. All right but in that case, the Paintbrush tool is going to remain selected and so you want to go ahead and switch over to the Pencil tool and the great thing about the Pencil tool is all you have to do is drag with a tool in order to draw path outlines, here inside Illustrator.
