- [Instructor] One of the most popular methods of drawing inside of Illustrator is the method of construction, which is actually looked at later on in this course in a chapter all around that topic. And the most fundamental part of drawing by construction is being able to draw shapes, and that's what we're going to look at in this movie. To start off with, we're going to need to change our toolbar from the default basic toolbar if you haven't already, and you can do that by going to the Window menu down to Toolbars and choose Advanced, which will give you the full two-column toolbar. So what we're going to draw first of all is a set of rectangles, and to do that, we're going to need the rectangle tool, which you can access from inside the toolbox.
