Drawing curves with the Pen

- Now I'll show you how to create curvature with the pen tool. And not to spoil the surprise. But instead of clicking to create corner points, you drag to create control handles. And we're going to use the pen tool to create the curving top of the back of the chair. And so notice, if I were to select the front of the back of the chair and move it out on its own. And then press the A key to switch to the white arrow tool. You can see that I have an open path outline made up of four corner points. And the same goes for the top of the back of the chair. So, they're both open path outlines that are ready to extend with the pen tool. And so I'll press Ctrl Z, or Command Z on the Mac to undo that movement. And I'll click on the light grey of the top of the back of the chair in order to select that open path outline. And I'll press Control plus or Command plus on the Mac in order to zoom in. All right.
