Drawing modes
- [Instructor] Drawing modes can save you a lot of time by limiting where art work appears as you draw it. Let's take a look at an example of how drawing modes can be beneficial to you. Now, in the document that I have open, I'm gonna come up here and we're gonna be working on the Cali layer, so I'm gonna go ahead and click on that layer to make it active and then I'm gonna go ahead and deselect, or turn off the visibility of the other layers so I'm only seeing the state of California. Now your drawing modes are located down here at the bottom of your tools panel. First button is draw normal, that's the normal mode that we're in all the time in illustrator. The second button is draw behind. So I'm gonna go ahead and click on that button and what this does is anything that I draw at this point, is gonna appear behind everything else on that layer. Now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna set my stroke to none and I'm gonna set my fill to a blue color. I'm gonna open my swatches panel to do…
