- [Instructor] All right, now just for fun I'll show you how to create a quick and dirty gear. And actually, if you take a look at this, you'll see that it's a highly precise element in which each one of the cogs is equal distant from its neighbor. There's exactly 20 cogs in all and every one of them is the exact same height. And, so, I'm going to switch over to this document, here, and then I'll select the Ellipse tool from the Shape tool fly out menu, and you want to go to the View menu and make sure that your Smart Guides are turned on, then position your cursor at the intersection of those two center guides and press the alt key or the option key on the Mac, and click. And I'm looking for these values right here, width and height of 500 points at which point I'll click OK. And because I pressed the alt key or the option key on the Mac, when I clicked, the circle is exactly centered at the intersection of those two…
