- [Instructor] One of the first steps you need to take on any design project, logo or otherwise is to determine what the specific creative deliverables will be. This is called scope of work. Early in my career as I started working with other design firms and ad agencies, I would often hear this term used. SOW. I pretty quickly realized this acronym stood for scope of work. I also later realized the same acronym was used to define statement of work. Not sure which term came first but they both relate to the same topic. Scope of work defines project-specific activities, deliverables and timelines for a designer providing creative services to a client.
