Freeform gradients
- [Instructor] Freeform gradients are a relatively new thing in Illustrator desktop, but they are already here in Illustrator on the iPad. What I'm going to do is I'm going to draw a simpler shape because that's the only thing with them, they get really picky around more complex shapes. For example, the leaf stem and the leaf that I've drawn over on the left hand side here, so this one just here. Okay, that wouldn't work. In fact, if I go to the Fills here and choose Gradient, you can see that I can add a linear or a radial fill, but not a freeform gradient. So this shape here, which I've just made a real mess of so I'll just quickly draw that again. This shape here, if I just go ahead and draw, nice and simply and quickly, there like so. And I think actually I'll also go to that shape here and simplify it just a little bit. You can see all the anchors here, and I'll go ahead and simplify that path. There is also a smart…
