GPU Performance and Animated Zoom

- [Deke] In this movie, we'll take a look at a couple of power options known as GPU performance and animated zoom. Now I'll warn you up front. This movie is more technical than the other movies in this chapter, but this is stuff worth knowing. And so, if you're working along with me on the PC go up to the Edit menu. If you're working on a Mac, go to the Illustrator menu instead, then drop down to the Preferences command which is not nearly so far down the menu on the Mac, and go ahead and choose performance from the Sub menu which is going to bring up the performance panel of the preferences dialog box. And notice these two check boxes right here GPU performance and animated zoom. They're both turned on by default, or at least they want to be. Now, GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit which is a chip on your video card which might be built into your portable computer or it might be an independent card on your desktop…
