Graphic styles

- [Narrator] Now that we have our template placed and our guide set, let's start making some graphic styles. Graphic styles unfortunately do not show up in the properties bar so we're going to need to open it. Window, graphic styles and illustrator comes with a bunch but for fashion they're not particularly useful so I'm going to select all of them and delete them. Now we can make some of our own. I like to draw a rectangle on my page and we'll make sure the properties are open so we can see what we're doing. If I hit d for default I get illustrator default which is a white fill, a one point stroke and pointy corners. If we open up the stroke panel you can see it's flat caps and miter corners. But we're dealing with fabric and so it looks much better if we use the round caps and the round corners. So now that I've got this square set up with round round, I'm going to click new in my graphic styles, double click on it and we can name this round. The next graphic style we're going to…
