- [Instructor] In this movie, I want to take you through the entire creative process on one logo design direction from thumbnail sketch to the final design. We'll leverage various build methods and art direct ourself along the way, so let's dive into it. Like every project I work on, it starts in drawing, it starts in analog, this was the thumbnail sketch that I drew to encapsulate the idea of the Cascade Lakes region. I wanted to create something that frame that idea really well, so this is where it started, my rough thumbnail and of course I need to refine it, so I know what I'm going to be building more precisely in vector form. So this is where the refined sketch came in. And I drew this with my mechanical pencil and it's as tight as I need it to be because these are all geometric shapes essentially I'm going to be creating. So Illustrator does that perfectly.
