How iconography impacts your audience

- [Narrator] A foundational element of visual communication is universal iconography. By that I mean iconography which consists of images commonly used to express specific meanings around the globe. For example, here are many universal icons. I'm sure you've noticed some of these in your day to day lives, and in just one glance you can derive meaning. Because icons share information so quickly, using them where appropriate in your sell sheet can make it far more impactful. But simply placing icons throughout your sell sheet won't do the trick. Each icon has to have a purpose. Take this BooginHead sell sheet as an example. There are four icons always displayed at the bottom footer showing the four major social networks where potential customer can get in touch. Because these are shown alongside contact information, it's not necessary to include any other context. Adding the words "find us" would not improve the message. It would simply add unnecessary text.
