- [Instructor] In this movie, ` we're going to transition from corner points to smooth points. Now, even though we saw a bunch of smooth points in the previous chapter, we didn't really see the underlying mechanics. And when you're using the pen tool, you can't help but see smooth points in all of their splendor which is why I'm going to show you how they work. So I'm going to go ahead and rename this layer 'Corner Points', let's say and then I'll turn it off just so that we have a clean slate and I'll drop down to the little page icon at the bottom of the layers panel and I'll ALT or option click on it in order to force the display of the layer options dialogue box. I'll call this guy 'Smooth Points' and I'll change its color to violet just so that we can see everything that's going on.
