How to use the pixel grid

- [Instructor] When you're designing icons for screens like websites or mobile devices, it's super important to work with the pixel grid in Adobe Illustrator, because this will have a direct effect on the quality of your output. Let's take a closer look. I'm here inside of Adobe Illustrator right I have a document open, it has two different artboards. One artboard on the left has an icon, the artboard on the right is still empty, the objective is very simple. I need to take the existing artwork of this icon, duplicate it, scale it down and position it within the smaller artboard. Sounds easy enough. Let's take a look at the options, you can see that there's a pixelated effect that is applied to this icon, and that is simply the view pixel preview option here at the top of the screen. If I switch this off, I have perfectly normal artwork. If I go back to view, and then choose pixel preview, you can see that…
