- [Instructor] Depending on how you've created your artwork and even if it's by drawing or using auto trace or something from Capture, the chances are it will need a bit of cleaning up. Even path finder operations and shape builder operations can actually end up generating a lot of extra points as the program tries to be as accurate as possible. Let's take a look at this tiger and see how this fairs on the extraneous points front. So I'm going to go into Outline Mode, Command + Y or Control + Y to toggle that mode, and here we can see very, very quickly, okay that there are lots and lots of extraneous points. If we just go ahead and select that again, you can see here there's lots of points that perhaps aren't really necessary. These very dense areas here, not a lot you can do about too many of those because some of them are so small but even here, these things could be cleaned up. So Illustrator's own tools to do that…
