Introducing the Eyedropper tool

- [Instructor] All right now we need to fill our various path outlines with a couple of shades of green. And along the way, I'll show you how to use the eyedropper which allows you to lift the colors from one path outline and assign it to another. All right. So I'll go ahead and switch over to my document so far and I'll click on the big triangle to select it and notice it doesn't matter where you click as long as it's not here. That'll go ahead and select that final shape that we created but otherwise you can click anywhere you want along the triangular path outline. And that's because it is very nearly at the front of the stack. And the reason that happened, even though it includes the first lines we drew, is that it also includes that last line that I drew. And so when you joined path that lines they leap forward inside Illustrator. So they leap ahead to join the segment that's in front. All right. So I'll go…
