- [Instructor] All right, now I'll introduce you to yet another absolutely essential dynamic effect here inside Illustrator, and that is live paint, which allows you to color in path outlines much as if you were drawing with a crayon inside a coloring book. Now here we are looking at a bunch of paths that I traced absolutely by hand, by the way, using the pen tool. So this is one of those projects that's ultimately a labor of love. And it's based on the classic, Dance 2, painted by Henri Matisse back in 1910. Now in the original paintings all of the figures are nudes. Here at LinkedIn Learning we're a family oriented company, which is why we're going to go ahead and give our figures purple leotards. All right, so, I'm currently with a black arrow tool and I want you to notice that each of these path outlines is open.
