- I've been digitally illustrating for over 25 years now. And have specifically worked in the isometric style for over a decade. After you work in a certain style for a period of time you get familiar with it. You start to repeat themes and elements in various projects and at times reuse parts of one illustration to flesh out another. I refer to this as creative economizing. And every illustrator I know, regardless of style, does it. I suppose it's human nature not wanting to always recreate the wheel when you can copy and paste a wheel from a previous job into your current job. It's a fringe benefit of working digitally. In this movie I wanna share with you a creative habit I started many years ago in regards to my isometric illustration work. It'll demonstrate how you can organize and repurpose isometric elements to help facilitate future projects and avoid needlessly recreating the same content over and over again. Let me show you that.
