Lasers
- [Instructor] Now that you've got your design together, it's time to cut it out with lasers. Before you can use the laser, go ahead and check the machine. Make sure it's plugged in properly and has the exhaust on and attached securely. Turn the machine on and allow it to run through any automatic checks programmed into the cutter. Many laser cutters are either connected to the computer wirelessly or wired, so check that connection. The laser cutter should be talking to your computer. Take your design file and send it to the machine. Some machines can store multiple files onboard after sending like standard 2D printers. And some you'll have to send the file multiple times. Make sure you know which one you have. Once the machine is finished running its own checks, here's a list of things to do if this is the first time you're turning on the machine for the day. It's not necessary to check all of these things in between repeat jobs, but it is a very good idea if you're changing…
