Leggings: Straight leg to boot cut

- (Voiceover) We don't always need to draw flats from scratch. Sometimes, you're working for a company and there are existing flats from previous seasons that all we need to do is manipulate to update them for this season. So in this chapter, I'm going to show you how to take existing flats and manipulate them into different styles. Let's start with a very simply legging. We'll move this one out of the way. It always helps if you've got it placed on a center guide. For this legging, I don't need one leg. So, I'm going to select the whole thing and I'm going to ungroup this. With the white arrow, I'm going to select all of this and hit delete, so one leg is deleted and we're going to work on redoing this leg and then we'll reflect it back into place and join it again. I'm going to turn this into a boot cut or a bell bottom. So I can select the bottom, S for scale, and then just click and drag to move the leg out and this gives me kind of a palazzo looking pant.
