- [Instructor] Let's look at some basic techniques for modifying letter shapes. I'll choose my title. Replace the placeholder text. The typeface that I want to use is Fresno Black. It appears at the top of my list because I was just using it, but in the first instance, I got to it by clicking on more fonts, and it's in the art deco tag. But this time around, I'm just going to search for it by name. I'll position my type horizontally and vertically centered on my art board and now scale it up from its center point. I'll move to the outer ring of my touch modifier and scale it. Come and change its color. To go further, I am going to need to outline the text. I'll come to the text panel. Choose outline text. I'll then need to tap Done. So that I can color the counterspaces, the interior spaces of the letters independently, I'll click on the object panel and choose Release Compound Path. Now I can…
