- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to add a stem to our white arrow and I realized the white arrow no longer has a stem in the most recent version of Illustrator, but I miss it, and we're going to be doing so using a combination of a command known as Outline Stroke along with, once again, the Join tool. Now notice that my white arrow tool is currently active, but I want to be able to select this entire line here because I want to see the line weight up here in the control panel. and notice if I were to just click on this segment to select it independently of it's anchor points, then that line weight option disappears, and so instead of just clicking on the line, I'm going to press and hold the Alt key, that's the Option key on a Mac, so I'm seeing a little plus sign next to my cursor, and i'll click once again to select the segment complete with its anchor points, which makes that line weight value reappear.
