- [Instructor] The great thing about PDF files and Illustrator is it's highly likely that the files you are working with already may well actually be a kind of PDF. Let's have a quick look at the Save As dialog, so if I just go and Save As this file overwriting the existing exercise file just here or I'm not going to complete it, if I just allow that to happen so we get to the dialog, you'll see that this checkbox is the one that allows it to have different forms of portability with apps that understand PDFs, such as InDesign and Photoshop and many many more. So if you've got that on, the chances are that it's already a sort of PDF, and Acrobat would open it quite happily and convert it to any other kind of PDF. I'm just going to cancel that because if you did need to save it as a particular kind of PDF that's when you would need to do a Save As operation.
