Package an Illustrator project
- [Instructor] In some projects, you may have to package up Illustrator files along with related assets like fonts and raster images so you can send them to a colleague or to create a project archive. So let's see how packaging works in Illustrator with the seed label. I'll choose File, Package, and first I'll choose a location for the package. I'll just make sure it's on my desktop, and then a name for the folder. I'll call it Seed_Label, and here in the options, I can choose to copy any linked files, like the photo of the sunflower. I can also collect the links in a subfolder, and relink to the new copy of the image so there are no missing links when someone opens the file later on. I can also include any fonts I used, except Adobe fonts, and non-Adobe Chinese, Japanese, and Korean fonts. The restriction on copying Adobe fonts won't be a problem in many cases, since the person opening your document is going to have a Creative Cloud subscription, so they'll have access to the same…
