Panning and zooming
- [Instructor] Panning and zooming are required techniques for efficiently navigating a document in Illustrator. You can use the zoom and hand tools to achieve these tasks, but here we'll be using keyboard shortcuts for maximum efficiency. Click on the selection tool to make it the active tool. Press Command Spacebar or Control Spacebar on your keyboard to temporarily activate the zoom tool. On Mac please note that this shortcut conflicts with Spotlight which can be disabled in System Preferences. With the keys still held down, click and drag up and to the left to zoom out, or click and drag down and to the right to zoom in on your artwork. Release the keys to go back to the selection tool. Hold down the Spacebar on your keyboard to temporarily activate the hand tool, click and drag to move the view to see a different area. Press Command zero or Control zero on your keyboard to fit the art board to the document window so you can…
