- [Instructor] There is another kind of pattern we can make in Illustrator. And that is pattern brush. Now in the course, brushes are later on in the chapter with appearances, but this one is worth mentioning at this particular point because it's so very useful and it relates to patterns. I'm going to open my brushes panel just here and make that slightly larger so I've got plenty of room. And just over on the left-hand side of my art board here, I have this piece of artwork made of five simple lines. I'm going to drag that into the brushes panel like so, and then when this dialog appears, I'm going to choose pattern brush and hit okay. I then get a larger dialogue here. So the first thing I might want to do, of course, as with most of these things is give it a name. So I'm going to call this lines just for the purposes of now. Now I do need to make some adjustments to the spacing, but I'm going to wait until a little bit…
