The Pen tool
- [Instructor] Here we are and we're ready to actually start drawing, although I really ought to be more accurate because we're actually going to start plotting to begin with, to be fair. But the end result of our plotting will be that we've got a drawing, so, you know, half and half. What we're going to do, first of all, is use Illustrator's primary drawing tool, which is the pen tool. If you tap P on your keyboard, that will get you the pen tool, this is one of the original set of tools from Illustrator, So it's been around awhile. What we're going to do is on the grid that I've devised for you just here, this isn't an Illustrator grid, it's a grid made from lines that I've turned into guides. We're going to go to one of the intersections over here, so maybe this point here would be good, and simply click, just a click, that's all you need to do.
